Well, to the 2 people that probably frequent this site...Sorry that I have not updated in several weeks. I will try to be better. Things have been going well for me in Atlanta. The job is going great and I really enjoy the people I work with. I am still searching for an apartment and hopefully I will have one soon. The last few Sundays I have been going to the North Atlanta Church of Christ and I really like it. Don McLaughlin is a great preacher and his lessons challenge me to grow spiritually.

Last night Chris Nicholson and I went to "722" (2 Samuel 7:22) in the Alpharetta area. 722 is a weekly devotional for singles in the Atlanta area. The first part of the evening is a concert followed by a devotional. The devotional last night was on the topic of God's grace and it was very good. Over 3,000 people were there! It was neat and I think I will go to it again soon.

I just finished talking to my brother on the phone about an hour ago. For those of you that don't know, Derek is working for Price Waterhouse Coopers in Houston. He told me that he will be in Atlanta for an entire 8 days on business later this month! I am pumped to get to see him! I will also be flying down to Houston in September to hang out and go to a Coldplay concert...ROCK! It will be good times for all.

Hey everyone. I hope that all is going well. I have almost worked a full week in Atlanta and it has flown by fast. There are so many new things to learn, but I am excited about the opportunity. For those of you that do not know, I took a job as a Product Analyst for SunTrust Bank headquartered in Atlanta, GA. The last few days I have been learning more about my new role with the company as well as getting acquainted with my new environment. On Saturday I am going to go looking for apartments. My WONDERFUL aunt and uncle are letting me stay with them until I find a place. When I get an apartment everyone needs to come visit on a weekend to watch a Braves game!

I arrived safely in Atlanta on Thursday evening (July 7th). Over the past few days I have been spending a lot of time with my aunt and uncle. I have ventured out several times and toured around town. It is true...the traffic can get very bad! I will take the train to work so that I can avoid sitting in traffic.

Today I went to North Atlanta Church of Christ where Don McLaughlin speaks. After service I went to the singles class. There were about 25 people there and after class I went with a big group of them to eat lunch. Later on tonight I might go play some basketball with some guys. My true skills shine on the basketball court (Ha!). Well, I need to get going. Please keep me in your prayers. I start work tomorrow!!

Today was a fun-filled day of moving! I have been packing up my apartment for the last few days and today I moved all of my things to my parents' house on the West side of town. My parents and grandparents helped me move and it took several hours. Of course we had to break for lunch so my grandma could fix us a WONDERFUL meal. I will miss her cooking.

When I move to Atlanta this coming Thursday I am only taking my clothes and computer. I know that this sounds strange but I have not found an apartment in Atlanta yet. I will be living with my aunt and uncle in North Atlanta for a month or so until I find my own place. At that point my parents will bring all of my stuff to Atlanta. Hopefully I will be able to find a good roommate at one of the churches in town. Living isn't cheap in A-Town! Ha! :-)

Well, I need to jet. Hopefully my future posts will be more exciting. I need to buy I digital camera so I can start putting pictures up on the site (I can't borrow Derek's camera anymore). I hope the weekend is going well for everyone!

In one week I will be moving to Atlanta, GA! I accepted a position with SunTrust Bank as a Product Analyst and will begin work on July 11th. I am very excited about this new stage in my life. Right now I am very busy packing and getting ready to leave. I will use this site to keep my friends and family current on what is happening in my life in the big city of Atlanta.
